Pokemon Abilities(Part 1)

To All The Fans..
Hey guys. Today, I'm going to talk about a few of the Pokemon abilities, their pros, cons, and what I think of them.

1. Speed Boost

Pokemon:

  • Yanma

  • Mega Blaziken
  • Carvanha

  • Yanmega
  • Venipede
  • Whirlipede

Effect:

Raises the user's Speed stat by one stage, at the end of each turn in battle

Pros:
  • Increases chance of attacking first
  • Increases chances of winning
  • Gives Pokemon an advantage in movement
  • Saves money and hard-work(No need to get Quick Claw)
Cons:
  • (Mega Blaziken and others) Can't use other abilities past evolutions had(for Mega Blaziken, blaze)
2. Blaze

Effects:

When Pokemon uses a Fire-Type move, power will increase by 1.5x if the user has less than or equal to 33.33%

Pros:


  • Increases chances of winning
  • Increases attack power and damage dealt
  • Increases confidence
  • Gives an intimidating aura
Cons:
  • Not much of use if other Pokemon is too strong. If you can't defeat it in one hit, you lose.
3. Intimidate

Effects:

Intimidate lowers the opponents attack stat by one stage upon entering the battle. It is triggered when the battle begins and when a Pokemon with the ability switches into battle.

Pros:

  • Gives a greater chance of winning
  • Presents an opportunity to level up weak Pokemon
  • Makes it easier to win
  • Gives Pokemon advantage in terms of Power
Cons:
  • Does not affect Pokemon with Clear Body, Hyper Cutter, or White Smoke
