Theories and Mystery Solutions(Part 2)

To All The Fans

Hey guys! Just another part to solve and develop theories for mysteries from the Pokemon Franchise!

The Pokemon type chart is so large now, some of the matches and weaknesses don't make much sense. Like, some of them do make some sense, but THIS one is the most confusing. I mean, aren't Grass and Water types supposed to get along? Why are Grass moves super effective against Water types? Do the moves literally suck the moisture out of the Water types, causing physical weakness and damage?

Theory:

The Pokemon team used science to make Grass super effective against Water. Their moves suck the moisture out of the Water types.

We all know that plants, a.k.a Grass type Pokemon, live and grow by sucking the moisture and water particles from the ground with their roots. It could be that the Pokemon universe and it's surroundings do have some scientific explanation to it. A common move that most starting Grass types use is Absorb. When the move is used, it depletes a varying amount of HP from the foe, and adds that much to your Pokemon. The move is a line of three, the other two being Giga Drain and Mega Drain. According to the science behind it, in Generations 4 and 5, it is said that if the Pokemon has a Big Root item with it, it recovers 30% more HP than it normally would. This comes to show that, along with the animation of little balls, that could represent water drops or moisture particles being sucked up, though it would be the same on any Pokemon.

Mystery Number 2: What world do you live in?

I mean, really. I get that there are regions and all, like Johto, Kanto, Sinnoh, Hoenn, Unova, Kalos,Orre, etc. But, what is the name of the world you live in? Is it just the regions mixed with water, with a planet named Pokemon? Or is it an alternate reality version of Earth, with extra areas and none of the same creatures?

Theory:

The world is an alternate reality of Earth, with more areas and different creatures.

Evidence:

I mean, just look at the picture beside the theory. Note it's obvious resemblance to Earth. Also, after procrastinating too much, I had researched the parts and regions of the Pokemon world, and found that some of the regions do have a striking resemblance to parts of Japan. This is also shown in the picture to the left, credits to Bulbapedia. The climate of the regions are pretty similar to Earth's, like Autumn, Summer, Winter, and Spring, though some places, like Snowpoint City, have pretty weird climates, this one having diamond dust falling from the sky. Another thing to note is that it has some pretty similar landmarks and famous places, like Mt. Coronet. It has a resemblance to Mount Everest, along with the fact that both are a part of a massive mountain range that divides an area into half, and connects some cities and places. The world you live in in the game is Earth, according to the GTS in every Pokemon Center and the very accurate globe in Black and White 2.

That's all for this part, guys. See ya next week!
